Mecksadeck M. Mwambungu is a Tanzanian conservationist born in the Morogoro region, within the Kilombero Game Controlled Area, and raised in the heart of the Selous Game Reserve.
He graduated from the University of Dar es Salaam in 2015 and later joined the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority as a conservator of natural and cultural heritage resources.
Through his years working in Tanzania’s key protected areas, he witnessed firsthand the need for accessible education on conservation, heritage, and tourism. This inspired him to establish the Mwambungu Library, a platform dedicated to learning, preservation, and community empowerment.
The library isn’t just about books; it’s about the growth of our community through shared knowledge and cultural appreciation. It opens doors to learning that were once closed
